Key responsibilities:

• Establish, develop and manage collaborative relationships with current and potential shippers, subcontractors, haulers and clients;
• Prepare offers, calculate transport rates;
• Negotiate rates with haulers, subcontractors, clients;
• Establish and control the procedures to ensure the desirable quality of provided services;
• Control all processes concerning transport orders realization;
• Supervise and coach the forwarding team to ensure that objectives and targets are met in line with customers’ requirements;
• Check incoming invoices and transport reports for the purpose of subsequent calculation and invoicing customers, partners, agents and other third parties;
• Report actively on progress and pipeline.

Qualifications and skills:

• 5+ years of road freight forwarding experience;
• Proven working experience in a leadership role as a supervisor or team leader of forwarding/expedition team (experience in an international environment is welcome);
• Fluent English both speaking and writing (German or French language will be an additional asset);
• Very good negotiation and organizational skills;
• Results-oriented attitude with the drive to grow an international road freight forwarding business;
• Experience in the creation of strategic planning initiatives;
• Strong analytical skills with a systematic problem-solving approach;
• Independence and initiative;
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related.
